Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust always concentrates on the demands of Sai devotees
Shirdi -
‘Chandrakantdada Patil, Minister, Public Works Department has given order to prepare a separate palanquin path development plan for the Sai devotees coming along with Saibaba’s palanquins from Mumbai to Shirdi and assured to start this work immediately,’ informed Chairman of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi Dr.Suresh Haware.
Dr. Haware said that lakhs of devotees throng at Shirdi daily to seek the blessings of Shri Saibaba. About 4.5 lakhs pedestrian devotees come along with palanquins. The number of youths and women is also large. All these Sai devotees come to Shirdi via Mumbai-Agra highway and Ghoti-Shirdi road. All these Sai devotees have to face difficulties while walking and also considering the heavy traffic by these roads, walking becomes dangerous. Many Sai devotees had to scarify their lives by meeting with accidents due to high speeded vehicles. Recently 5 Sai devotees died in an accident and more than 21 Sai devotees seriously injured in the same the accident near Deopur village, a few kilometers from Sinnar. Amidst of it and previous several incidents, there was a demand of separate palanquin path.
Accordingly, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust always concentrates on the demands of Sai devotees. Dr. Haware added that he personally met with Patil and submitted the request letter for separate palanquin way from Mumbai to Shirdi. Patil had taken the cognizance of this demand and instructed PWD’s senior officers to prepare the separate palanquin development plan and also assured for its execution at the earliest.
In this proposed palanquin path, tree plantation will be done to protect the devotees from the scorching sun. There will be accommodation facility after every 15 km with all essential amenities. This proposed path is 250 Km from Mumbai to Shirdi at right hand side of existing road. This will be 15 feet wide and its height will be 1 foot from the existing road, so that no other vehicles will use it. The journey of Sai devotees will be pleasant and safe due to this proposed path. Government of Maharashtra and Chandrakantdada Patil have solved this problem. Dr.Haware has expressed his gratitude and extended thanks to Patil and government.
